One of my frequently asked questions is where can one get the virtual I use for my SharePoint demos.  I'm currently demoing from a ( slightly modified) virtual image I downloaded from Microsoft.  Microsoft provides lots of free virtuals you can use to experiment with their tehcnologies (i.e. not for production use!).  This one is referenced at many sites, key search phrases are BI VPC 7.1 .  Here's a consistent site - Russel Christopher' blog, who works for Microsoft - to find the download bits:
