2/10/2009Becky Isserman pulled off the second SharePoint Saturday last week to another sold out crowd! Way to go Becky!! So far, we've all been capping our SPS-es at 200 - seems to fit for our venues, amount of sponsorship for food, number of speakers, etc. The next SPS is scheduled for a week from Saturday, Feb 21st in New York City. It is already sold out! (Interesting term since it's FREE!! But you know what we mean - registration has hit it's cap of 200). Michael Lotter is running that one - and he has another impressive list of speakers - that sounds bad since I'm next getting ready to say I'll be speaking at that event - didn't mean for it to come out that way. MOST of the speakers are impressive! How's that? Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing some of the folks again that I've seen at other SharePoint events. It's cool getting to see them more than once or twice a year only at events such as TechEd.
Speaking of events, this is probably worth another blog post, but Microsoft recently announced their annual SharePoint Conference. This year will be in Las Vegas (YEAH BABY!), Oct 19- 22 at the very nice Mandaly Bay (where Dev Connections holds one of their events every year). Registration is now open - I'd hurry over for the discount - http://www.mssharepointconference.com/Pages/default.aspx . This will be the big unveiling of SharePoint vNext or 14, whichever you prefer to call it. I'm registered - hope to see my Peeps and Tweeps there! |
